Welcome to our scientific workshop !

Since November 2008, 12 students of 10th grade have taken part in a scientific
workshop.

At first, from November to January 2009, they are going to join in a national contest entitled  'Young Ambassadors of Science in India'. They will have to create a CD rom or a website both in French and in English presenting one aspect of the scientific research in India. And guess what ? If they win this contest, they will spend 10 days in India in April 2009.

And then, from January to June 2009, the students will take an interest in renewable energy used in our region and will compare it with what is done at present in Europe . This research fits in with our European project about global warming 'COMENIUS' with three other European high schools. And the students will even put in some solar panels in La Mennais during the year.

Moreover this workshop is led by two English and Physics teachers and this is of course a great opportunity for our students to work in small groups, to learn more about sciences and to improve their English !

And eventually, this workshop is in partnership with  the ' IUT de Nantes Génie Thermique' and also takes part in the educational actions of the ' Pays de la Loire'.
